District Director’s Message Related to the Speech Marathon

Dear District and Club Officers,

Many of you may have heard or seen the flyer regarding Speech Marathon jointly organised by YMCA Toastmasters Club and Singapore Mandarin Toastmasters Club in support of the fundraising efforts of the organisation YMCA.

Please note that this is not a Toastmasters International District 80 event. This is a private fundraising event between the two clubs and YMCA. You may by all means in your individual capacity attend and support the event.

Having said that and in keeping with Toastmasters International’s Policy and Protocol [8.2: Fundraising], all Toastmasters Clubs, Areas, Divisions and the District must not promote this event. No Toastmasters resources including contact information, logo, website or social media may be used to promote the event.

事关：区域总监针对“演讲马拉松”发表的声明

尊敬的区域与分会执委：

相信许多会友已经耳闻目睹关于演讲马拉松的宣传广告，该项活动的联办机构是基督教青年会讲演会和新加坡华语讲演会，其宗旨是支持基督教青年会所举办的筹款活动。

大家请注意：该项活动并不是国际讲演会80区域举办的项目。那是两个分会和青年会共同主办的私下筹款活动。可是，你大可以用个人名义，参加和支持这项活动。

有鉴于此，根据国际讲演会关于筹款活动的政策和礼仪8.2条款，讲演会所有分会、分区、区际和区域，不可推广这项活动。同时也不准利用讲演会的任何资源（包括联系资讯、标志、网站或社交媒体）广为宣传，仰各周知！
