Dear friends

We thank Patrick, Susan and Emily for making the Speakaton a success.

In days of old, men used to write poetry to ladies. As I have benefitted from Patrick's kindness, I shall break with tradition to write an ode to our dear friend Patrick who is also running for LGM.

Hi Patrick Oei:

Thank you + Susan Wong for your great leadership in putting together the speakerton, thus strengthening the Spirit of “Dare To Excel” within District 51.

I came, I saw, I spoke and I enjoyed thoroughly.

My friends and I came, hoping to hear from our D51 top leaders, a rare opportunity for members in Singapore. Alas! We missed the speeches by DTM Ho Fong Ming (LGET) and Dr Arul (Secretary) on Sunday (18 May 2003), to our great disappointment.

Life often throws us some lemons of regrets, doesn’t it? We hope someday soon DTM Ho Fong Ming and Dr Arul, DTM will make lemonades for all of us.

June 21 (Saturday) sounds great. It’s like the last lap for this term. Will we have a simple cup of lemonade from our top leaders then?

Dear All,

We all heard that S'pore is in position 74 out of 76 in the international
TM ratings. We need more members, CTMs and ATMs

I have one more project to do to get my ATM . I would like to do it
asap as a very small way to help raise our rating.
Is there a slot in any of your clubs between May 23 (Friday ) till June
13 for me to do a "Better Series" project ?

Dear friends,

Thanks for the wonderful time during the special meetings over the last week-end.

I have enjoyed much during the two days sessions. The standard of the prepared speeches were exceptionally high.

Evaluations of the prepared speeches were good. The motivational talks of the top district officers were great.

The talk by Dr Khong entitled "Spice your language" was entertaining & educational. The language evaluations & general evaluations were enlightening. The hard work rendered to obtain the ah counter report is commendable.

What more can I expect?.
