3. Physical and Chemical Properties of DENKA BLACK
DENKA BLACK is composed of carbon particles jointed together in a chainlike fashion, and has a three dimensional chain structure. The internal structure of DENKA B LACK is composed of many crystallites.
Furthermore, another typical chracteristic of DENKA BLACK is very high purity, over 99.5% fixed carbon content. The main impurity may consist of very small content of inorganic materials.
The above-mentioned physical and chemical properties give unique characteristics to DENKA BLACK, such as high solvent adsorption and electrical conductivity.
High purity and good processability are very important properties for almost all application of conductive carbons, especially for semi-conductive layer in XLPE power cables.
