Toastmasters International District 80 Sponsor Award Report
 07/01/2004
Through 03/31/2005

1st August 2004 - Communicate Better Everyday.....1st Aug 2004 - 30th Sept 2004
Dear Fellow Toastmasters,

We become better speakers when we  confront the fear of speaking to an audience  and discover our fear will not kill us.  This act of courage carried out in a supportive Toastmaster meeting environment made us stronger. We  became better speakers and communicators.

We enjoy the many benefits of better communication everyday. Let us also offer our colleagues, friends and family the same opportunity when they become members of our clubs. Let us make a meaningful contribution to society by making the benefits of the Toastmaster  available to those around us.

  • October 1924 was when it all began. Ralph Smedley and a few men met in the Santa Ana YMCA in California and conducted the first meeting of what would eventually evolve into what we know today as Toastmasters. One person initiated a program that would go on to benefit millions of people. In his honor, can your club add five new, dual, or reinstated members between 1st August 2004 and 30th September 2004? By doing so you’ll qualify to receive a Smedley Award ribbon for display on your club banner.

  • Toastmasters International District 80 recognizes the individual for his/her contribution to society with the Governor's Award ribbon for sponsoring 3 or more members in August and September 2004.

Let us start this term with a meaningful objective. Let us help bring out the best in people. Let us shape our future together... Do It Now!

Dear Fellow Toastmasters,

We wish you another year of fun, excitement and success in fostering greater self-confidence and personal growth through the development of your communication and leadership skills in the supportive and positive learning environment of your Toastmasters Club.

For most members its because someone invited you to a meeting or maybe your boss told you to join.
Have you done your part? Think of the people you know who should join Toastmasters. Make a list, speak with each one, and invite them to your club meeting. Think of what Toastmasters has done for you. The same can be said for many others, now and in the future. Give them the opportunity!

Consider this: you encourage five people to join; they each encourage five people to join, who each encourage five to join. You can see where this is going. Over the space of a few years your invitation can positively affect scores, even hundreds, of people. Aside from feeling good about your contribution you can earn the following:

>      The unique 80 Years of Excellence pin is for those individuals who sponsor five new members

>      The Gold Star pin is the reward for those sponsoring 10 new members

>      Toastmasters' necktie or scarf is given to individuals sponsoring 15 or more members.

This Annual Membership Program begins on  1st July 2004 and ends on  30th June 2005

We invite you to share the benefits of the Toastmasters training program with your friends, colleagues and associates. Bring a friend to your next club meeting.

Let us shape our future together,  Do It Now!
