Dear fellow toastmasters,

By now, you must be aware that Singapore will come under a new District 80 from 1st July 2004.

With a New Beginning for the District, it is the dream of some to have a New Focus for Singapore, to produce World Champions in the New Era.

July 10 has been designated as the day for the World Champion of Public Speaking Workshop where we will see Darren LaCroix, LIVE IN SINGAPORE, to share with us his story, his life and his habits to becoming the World Champion in 2001.

In tandem with the Workshop, TI has granted the Organising Committee a 10% discount for purchases of supplies by TMCs in Singapore on a consolidated basis.  We had a similar experience during the Toastmasters Awareness Month exercise in April 04 where participating clubs were able to enjoy savings of between 17%-45% for their orders (60% for shipment charges). 

I am pleased to announce the availability of this service yet again to all TM members in Singapore on a club basis.  You are encouraged to visit TI Online Store (http://www.toastmasters.org/store/) to check out the items, codes and prices for products you intend to acquire.  Only 1 club officer per TMC will place the order with me for their members' purchases.  An order form has been put online (http://www.newtonwebs.co/district80/OP_0710.xls) for interested clubs to register their requests.  Please send the completed form to me at tmwilson_1908@msn.com.  

I would urge all to adhere to the following schedules:

1) Placement of orders by 7 June 2004.

2) Acknowledgement of orders and advice on pre-payments by 14 June 2004.

3) All pre-payments for orders to be made by 18 June 2004.

4) Expected arrival of goods by 2 July 2004.

5) Distribution of goods during Workshop at Novotel Apollo Hotel on 10 July 2004 *.
